League of Friends Fearless Rules
Are role swaps allowed?
Role swaps between 2 bo3 series are allowed. However after the first game of a bo3 you are locked in that role for the rest of that bo3
Are lane swaps allowed?
Lane swaps are allowed as they are a viable strategy within the game.
When are we allowed to play our games?
We would prefer all games to be played on a weekday, except, ofcourse, on friday due to the weekly League of Friends tournaments on that day. Weekends are allowed but we don't want to force people to give up their free time for LoFF. However if both teams agree on it, we won't be against it.
How do we set up a game with no bans and all available champions?
The message you receive containing the Tournament codes at the start of the week will contain a link to a DraftLol, it has been set up with no bans and this way you are free to select any champ, without having to worry about anyone not owning a certain champ, afterwards simply make a blind draft custom using the Tournament code and select the same champs.
How do we decide what day to play our games?
NEVER plan a game on Fridays, as this day is reserved for the weekly tournaments and we don't want people having to choose between participating in either LoFF or the weekly tournament.
Always look for the day where the least amount of subs are needed.
If there are 2 days where an equal amount of subs are needed, prioritize week days over weekends.
When there are 2 weekdays with the same amount of subs available, prioritize a day where a caster is available.
In case there are still multiple days available after all of the above and both teams can't come to an agreement, the day will be decided by a random 1v1 between Captains (League 1v1, rock-paper-scissor, coinflip,...)
What are coaches allowed to do during games?
Coaches can be in the VC with their team for the whole game. However they can only speak with them during draft and between games. During games, they need to mute themselves. However they can still listen in/watch so they can use that information for coaching purposes after the game.
Can players watch the stream during their own game?
Yes, since there is a 3 minute caster delay you can watch the stream. However if the stream is on a Discord stage, please don't enter the stage until 3 minutes after your game ended to avoid spoiling the audience, likewise, don't type in Twitch chat until the game has ended on stream.
How do we decide which team gets which side each game?
The team with the most amount of subs gets first side selection, as they don't have their full team that they are used to playing with, which should be a disadvantage synergy wise
If both teams have the same amount of subs, first side selection is awarded at random by the tournament bot, check the DM you got with the tournament code to see what side you were assigned.
For games 2 & 3 side selection is awarded to the loser of the previous game.
Are bans allowed?
There are no additional bans allowed on top of the champions that have already been played in a certain bo3. This means the first game has 0 banned champions, the 2nd game has 10 banned champions and a possible 3rd game has 20 banned champions.
I need a sub for my team what do i do???
No sub is official until one of the organizers has signed off on it!!!
Fulltime players and captains from other teams are NEVER allowed to sub in for another team during the regular season*, this is to prevent games being thrown intentionally or even simply the accusations of inting being thrown around, this is drama we want to avoid.
If you can't find a suitable sub before the start of your game, the game will be a forfeit (2-0 for the other team), you can however still play a forfeited game with any subs just so both your teams can still get a game on and viewers don't have to be dissapointed.
*During Finals, Players from teams that are already knocked out or didn't make Finals are allowed to sub in, to make the process of finding suitable subs easier as these games are more important and will be played on fixed days.
What are the rules on remakes/pauses?
Before (un)pausing the game, give a heads up to the opposing team and a reason why you are pausing.
A pause shouldn't last longer than 5 minutes, unless both teams agree to pausing for a longer time.
If a long pause happens because of a DC/players not getting into a game before First Blood happened, consider a remake.
After First Blood occured, no remakes are allowed, if the opposing team wants to resume play after 5 minutes of pausing, the game will continue, even if it's a 4v5 at that point.
How are tiebreakers decided after the regular season?
In case 2 or more teams end up with the same win-loss records in terms of bo3 series, we will decide tiebreakers in this order:
- In case there is a tie, we will look at the head to head games to decide who wins the tiebreaker.
- If there is still a tie after the head to head we will look at how many games were forfeited by either team, the team with the least forfeits wins the tiebreaker
- Finally, in case all above tie breakers still result in a tie, we will look at who was the 'most fearless', in other words, which team has played the most unique champs during the tournament.
