Fearless Rules


1. Eligibility Requirements

1.1. Disclosing peak account

Teams must disclose the Riot ID of their players’ highest peak rank League of Legends account from any region used in the current and previous seasons - being the 2024, and 2025 seasons - to the staff team at sign-up after sign-ups close. Failure to do so may result in punishment. If a player has two accounts with the same peak rank, both should be disclosed.

1.2.1 Account with highest peak rank

These requirements must be met by the player’s account with the highest peak rank (refer to 1.1), and the account used in any official Fearless game. The peak rank may not exceed the restrictions outlined in rule 3.1. TBC specifics The account must have a total of 10 Solo Queue games during the current ranked split. The account must have a total of 50 Solo Queue games between the start of 2024 and draft date (Upper bracket only). Unless there are extenuating circumstances, the account you sign up on must be the same you play on.

1.2.2 Additional requirements for the account used in Fearless

These additional requirements must also be met by a player’s account that is used in any official Fearless game:
- The account must be on the EUW server.
- The account must be verified on our Discord Server.

1.2.3 Game requirement

The Solo Queue game requirements must be met by the first game day, or when a player joins a team during the split. Players that have not yet met the requirement cannot be added to a team. If a player does not meet the requirement by their first game day, they will be removed from the roster.

1.3 Rank Lock

The rank the player is recognised at will be locked at the time of the draft.

1.4 Riot ID

Riot ID changes have to be submitted to staff before the team captain has locked in the roster of the next game as it could interfere with roster sheets and our Discord bot. Failure to do so may result in penalties. (refer to 7.1).

2 Team Management

2.1 Roster & Team Requirements

2.1.1 Roster Requirements

A team must have:
- A single Team Captain
- A roster of 5 players
A player can only be assigned to a single team.

2.1.2 Team Captain

The team captain responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Scheduling
- Line-up submission
- Being an available point of contact inside of games.
- The Captain should be the only person to discuss issues with Organisers in regards to game issues

2.1.3 Players

Players have no responsibilities within Fearless except to adhere to the rules outlined in this ruleset. They have the responsibility of providing their team with truthful information on anything that may impact their eligibility to play. Players may only play for a single team

2.1.4 Coaches

Coaches are not required but are permitted, but they have no responsibilities within Fearless except to adhere to the rules outlined here.

3 General League and Roster Rules

3.1 League Rules for Role Swaps

During league matches, your roster of 5 players may select any role they wish. After game 1 you may NOT swap roles with another player as this defeats the point of fearless.

3.2 Roster Rank Restrictions

In LoF League, each division will have a maximum peak rank that a player can be. The Roster Rank Restrictions of a certain division may put a cap on the number of players within a team that can have a certain rank, to allow for more flexible limits.
We will run the Divisions in either a 2 or a 3 tier system depending on Signups. This will be announced upon closure of Signups.

4 League Format

Simple Tournament bot is the leading source of scheduling. Scheduling or format may deviate to better suit the situation, as determined by the staff team. Any changes will be publicly announced.

Regular Split

Every division will have a number of teams participating (typically between 4-8). Teams will play one game a week at whatever time suits both teams best except for fridays. In the Situation that there is no friday tournament, and it is the only suitable time, the teams must apply to the Organisers who will greenlight the scheduling. Games should be scheduled a week in advance to allow for Streaming and Broadcast purposes. Failure to follow this may lead to the match not being streamed. Each team will face each other team in the same group in a single round robin Best-of-Three series. Standings in the divisions will be determined by the amount of Series won.

4.1.1 Side Selection

The choice of side selection for Game 1 is random and will be shown in your team chat in discord. From Game 2 and onwards side selection is selected by the loser of the previous game.

4.1.2 Points

For each game won in a series, your team will gain 1 point to their total. If you win the series 2-0, you gain an additional point. This will look like this

4.1.3 Tiebreakers

In the event that two or more teams have the same amount of series won, the tie will be broken based on the below criteria, in order.
- Overall game win/loss difference
- If tied: Head-to-Head game record between the tied teams

4.2 Playoffs

Semi Final rounds will be BO3 with the Grand Final being a BO5, depending on the scheduled format(refer to Tournament bot). Teams are seeded in the relevant Playoff Brackets, according to their Regular Split standings.

4.2.1 Playoff Format

The playoffs format will be published on Tournament bot. The staff team reserves the right to change the playoffs format during the regular season to improve the competitive experience.

5 Gameday Procedures

5.1 Series Procedure

Official series lobbies will be created automatically through the discord Bot. Tournament codes can be found in your team chat.

5.1.1 Voice Channels

All players must only use the official LoF League voice channels throughout the entire series unless explicitly told otherwise by a staff member. This is to ensure Transparency and facilitate communication when issues arise. No other people including the Coaches are allowed in the team’s Fearless voice channel during draft or games. Failure to follow will result in penalties (refer to 7.1).

5.1.2 Game Settings

In case of a remake or other issues preventing players from joining the official lobby, then the game must be recreated by the team captain whose team has side selection using a code that one of the organisers will provide.

5.2 Champion Select Procedure

The lobby owner should start the game once both team captains have confirmed that they are ready, the Pick-&-Ban phase will be executed through third party drafting replacements. Draftlol or other drafting alternatives such as savicore. If the technical issue prevents the player from playing, the team will have 15 minutes from the moment the issue occurred(to be proven by ticket or screenshot), to find a substitute or use a listed substitute (penalties as per 7.1 may still apply). If they are not able to resolve the problem or restart champ select within this timeframe, they will forfeit the game. After 1 hour, the series will be forfeited. If a substitute is used and/or bans are lost, pick and bans will be reset.

5.2.1 New / Reworked Champions

Certain major changes to champions will ban them from being picked for a short period after release. See table below:

5.4 Pauses, Remakes and Chat Usage

5.4.1 Chat Usage

General use of /all chat must still remain in good faith and abide by the ruleset & Discord rules. Other usage of /all chat is permitted to give information during pauses and sportsmanlike at the start and end of the games, e.g. Good luck, have fun & gg. All other types of chat are prohibited and will result in penalties (refer to 7.1).

5.4.2 Pausing the Game

A game may be paused due to, but not limited to, unintentional disconnection or a real life emergency but each team is only permitted 15 minutes of pause time. If the pause exceeds 10 minutes, the staff team must be informed by the enemy team captain. If the pause exceeds 15 minutes, the pausing team must immediately unpause at the opposing or staff team’s request or will be subject to penalties (refer to 7.1). If a technical issue prevents a player from playing the next game, the team will have 15 minutes from the moment the issue occurred(to be proven by ticket or screenshot. If they are not able to resolve the problem within this timeframe, they will forfeit the game. After 1 hour, the series will be forfeited.

5.4.3 Resuming the Game

A game may be resumed once both teams have verified they are ready to resume play via the game chat.

5.4.4 Remaking the Game

A game may be restarted if there are ongoing connection issues with one or more players due to server issues, game breaking bugs. This will require evidence from the team(s). Individual internet issues are not a good enough reason to remake a game. This should be done within the first minute of gameplay.

5.5 Breaks

Teams can have a 10 minute break between games. Any excessive waiting will be subject to penalties (refer to 7.1). Streamed Games will have a break by default after each game to allow for setup of the next lobby etc. If both teams agree and the game is not being streamed this break can be ignored.

5.6 Streaming & Recording

5.6.1 Streaming

All players and spectators are permitted to stream any Fearless game with the only exception being that spectators are not allowed to stream the same game as the official Fearless streaming channels from spectator view, PoV streams of the same games are permitted but with at least a 3 minute delay.

5.6.2 Recording

Recording Fearless games are permitted and is highly encouraged that at least one player is elected to record their screen for every game, even if they do not wish to stream, as to provide evidence in case of any issues that arise as to provide evidence.

5.6.3 Highlights

Production will Endeavour to create a Highlights Package for each game, however this will not always be possible. We Encourage Players to capture highlights themselves and send them to the Organisers to aid in this endeavour.

6 Code of Conduct

Committing any of the below actions may result in any punishment deemed applicable by the staff team (refer to 7.2). Please see LOF server rules. All rules apply, any issues will be dealt by LOFF organisers, and penalties as per section 7 WILL apply if deemed necessary

7 Disciplines & Rulings

7.1 Penalties List

7.1.1 Gameday delays

- If a team is not ready to play at 15 minutes past the scheduled series start time or previous game they will forfeit the game.
- If a team is unable to proceed as they are awaiting a staff decision/input on a current situation, this rule will not be applied.
- If none of the members of a team are present at 15 minutes past the scheduled series start time they will forfeit the series.
- If a team is not ready to play at 60 minutes after the scheduled series start time they will forfeit the series.
- If a team extends past the 15 minute pause allowance, then the team must unpause at the opposing or staff team’s request otherwise they will forfeit the current game.
- There may be mitigating circumstances to the organisers discretion on a case by case basis.

7.1.2 Sportsmanship

- Usage of /all chat outside what is allowed will result in a player warning of which the level should be determined by the staff. Two player warnings will result in suspension from their next league series.
- Extreme cases in a single game may result in a 2 series ban.
- Emotes will also be treated along the same vein. We encourage all Emotes to be disabled.

7.1.3 Player Ineligibility

- If a team uses an ineligible player or line-up during a game, then the team will forfeit the game.

7.1.4 Other Issues

Organisers also reserve the right to issue punishments if a situation arises that is not limited to the above instances.

7.2 Punishments

7.2.1 Investigation Procedure

If a player is accused of breaking the Code of Conduct (refer to 6), the staff team will perform thorough and comprehensive evidence gathering. Once the staff team has concluded deliberations and reached a consensus, the offender will be informed of the action being taken.

7.2.2 Suspension Durations

All suspensions run until the end of the final day at 11.59 PM UK time, from the day the ban is issued.

7.2.3 Confidentiality

The staff team reserves the right to not disclose the evidence used to make any decision if they feel this would help the offender make a repeat offence or bypass the punishment.

7.2.4 Zero-tolerance policy

If the member in question commits the same infraction that they were originally punished for again in the future, they will receive a permanent ban with no chance for appeal.

If we feel a situation violates an unreasonable mistake or in the spirit of a rule we reserve the right to change a decision based on any situation we deem exceptional.
